Everything was removed including most of large intestine. took taxol/paraplatin 6months. 3-1/2 yrs later more ovarian cancer cells in lining of right lung - no surgery - tapped lung and underwent 6 more months of taxol/paraplatin. Less than 2 years later july 2009 ovarian cells between my pancreas and spleen. took 3 months of gemzar w/no results. just started 6 more months of carboplatin and doxil until 02/2010. ovarian cancer is a silent killer. always faithful w/ yearly exams but never a sign. if I had not insisted something was wrong w/my primary physician who initiated an ultra sound of my ovaries I would be dead. gynocologists are clueless. all they do is experiment w/drugs when I was having change of life. finally quit all drugs because all it caused more problems i am 69 yrs old and have been battling ovarian cancer since 2003.
