Health & Environment

Is your environment killing your health and giving you cancer?

Don’t you just hate that smell of chemicals in your house? The smell that says: if you smell me, I enter your body and give you cancer! To tell you the truth, I have no evidence that these household chemicals are tied to cancer, that’s just how it feels to me. Why would I bother using something that smells like a hazardous chemical, if I can use a perfectly natural substitute? I don’t know either. So let me give you a few pointers on everyday harmless products that you can use for your cleaning – without the chemical smells or being scared of potential harmful side effects!

The list of useful harmless household products is: baking soda, vegetable/grape seed/olive oil, herbs and potpourri, salt, lemon juice, and vinegar.

1. Baking soda:

Baking soda can be used as a multi-purpose cleaner and deodorizer. It cleans and removes odors, as well as removing stains!

2. Vegetable, grape seed and olive oil

Oils are great for removing things like paint from your hands after a big painting job. Try it and experiment with its use.

3. Herbs and potpourri

Herbs and potpourri can be used to create a smell and a fresh scent for any room or space. Experiment to find out which one works for you. Orange peel and cloves is a nice combination.

4. Lemon juice

Lemon juice cuts through grease and can, therefore, are a great tool for cleaning dishes, counters or floors.

5. Salt

Salt can be used in conjunction with lemon juice, as it is and abrasive and great for scrubbing out stains or scrubbing off grime.

6. Vinegar

Vinegar is my personal favorite. It has a bit of a strong smell that lasts about 10 seconds before disappearing. However, it acts as a multi-purpose antiseptic cleaner. You can use this for everything. I suggest pouring a 50/50 mixture of water and vinegar into a spray-bottle and keeping it handy for all household cleaning.

These are some harmless products you can use to protect your health and the health of your family. Start substituting them for the bad ones today – and feel the difference in your health and life!
