Both countries – singer turned actress LeAnn Rimes and her husband Dean Sheremet have finally been talking, sort of, about the split that their “friends” announced to the tabloids last week. They had been married for seven years but over the last few months had been dogged by rumors of LeAnn’s alleged infidelity.

During her appearance at the Deer Valley Music Festival in Utah on Saturday the 26 year old, who married Sheremet at the tender age of 19, introduced one of songs with a reference to the turmoil in her personal life. “It is inevitable that sometimes in a relationship you will have your heart broken. Sometimes you don’t do anything but sometimes you want revenge. Sometimes you don’t and you leave it in God’s hands and know that He will take care of it.”

To seem it seemed a surprising statement as it is rimes herself who was the one rumored to be having an affair. Back in March she was allegedly caught by a security camera kissing her “Northern Lights” co star Eddie Cibrian. LeAnn denied the rumors vehemently but Cibrian’s wife has already left him and told reporters “Eddie and LeAnn deserve each other.”

For his part Dean Sherement took to Twitter just hours after his estranged wife’s concerts but simply posted “Thanks to everyone for their support at a very difficult time.”

LeAnn Rimes met Dean Sheremet when he appeared as a backup dancer at 2001 Academy of Country Music Awards, which she hosted that year. At time she said that she knew from their first date that this was the guy I wanted to marry.”And indeed they tied the knot less than six months later and before the runors of an on set -affair began had always seemed to be one of the more successful marriages in Hollywood.

The rumors and denials over the Rimes/Cibrian affair have been going on for months now, but until recently both couples involved had made a big show of proving just how together they were. Rimes and Sherement staged a make out session in front a huge crowd of paparazzi and Cibrian made sure photographers caught got plenty of shots of his paying attention to his wife Brandie, with whom he has two children, even though Brandie had been complaining to reporters that Rimes was “stalking” her husband and using him to try to reignite a failing career.
