If Human Beings acquire the power to read the minds of others, what would happen?

The following consequences may arise if human beings acquire the power to read the minds of others:

Lovers will be very happy if such a situation comes to pass because they will be able to read the minds of their beloveds even though the latter may keep on denying their real feelings. Love will abound on this planet if human beings, especially lovers, are able to read the thoughts of their beloveds.

The world will be full of strife and conflicts because diplomats will be the worst sufferers from this syndrome. Diplomats the world over is known as the biggest liars and smooth operators, who can couch the worst thoughts and statements in innocuous language. If human beings acquire the power to read the minds of others, diplomats will have no place to hide in for they always say one thing and mean another.

If human beings acquire the power to read the thoughts of others, our noblest intentions will bear fruit. Often it so happens that we cannot match our intensions with our actions. If others can read our thoughts, they will be able to understand us and help us in achieving our goals. In such a cases, the ability to read the thoughts of others will be helpful in the long run. Further everyone stop telling lies.

I doubt human beings will ever be able to even read the confused jumble of contradictions in their own minds, let alone make sense of the nonsense in the minds of others.

It sounds cool but in all reality people would find out about terrible things done by others.there would be sucicide and murder all over the world to try to hide their wrongs.how would you like it if people wherever u went knew every about you,where you were all the time,pregidus,self guilt. ITS like having a GPS in your brain.it would make poeple lead a honest life and think twice about wrong doings..but thats alot of stress.there would be shorter life spans from illness.

Why do we assume the worst posible reaction to honesty? is it not just as feasible to believe that people would clean up there act ,if they thought everyone knew exactly what they were thinking about. I no I would try a lot harder to walk the straight & narrow. Bring it on ,this world need’s a good dose of honesty & compassion .
