Sarah Palin Resignation
How did Sarah Palin React to Levi Johnston’s Comments on her Resignation?
Politics is said to be a lucrative career and a dirty game to play. It has no formula to success. It is a career where every word that a politician speaks or any word spoken on the politician determines the politician’s future of serving the electorate. If Governor Sarah Palin had witnessed the same happen to other politicians, the ball now is in her court. Governor Sarah Palin’s resignation from active politics, effective at the end of the month, as a promising candidate to the vice presidency has drown a lot of controversies. The latest alleged reason for her resignation came on Thursday when Levi Johnston, Her daughter’s fiancé whose supposed marriage gained wide criticism and was cancelled early this year, made public comment on Governor Sarah Palin’s possible lead to call it quits in politics.
The family Spokeswoman for Governor Sarah Palin, Meghan Stapleton, didn’t take the comment as butter on bread. Meghan Stapleton understands a politician lives a public life and public can create or destroy a political career. Stapleton could not let the comment to soil the reputation of the Governor who might have had a better chance to reposition her future political career outside the boarders of her present political allegiance. Stapleton, in a statement to The Associated Press, submitted via e-mail, indicated Johnston’s uncalled for input towards Governor Palin’s resignation was equivalent to ‘a piece of fiction’ meant to carve and furnish Johnston’s ‘acting skills’. Could Levi Johnston have been an opportunist who saw a rope hanging from a wealthy crater far above that he could have been looking forward to and that he chose to use it to climb into a possible better financial position?
The nineteen year old Levi Johnston, on Thursday, made the comments at a news conference, at the office of his attorney, Rex Butler. Johnston claimed he had heard Sarah Palin marvel at the opportunity of benefiting from monetary awards that seemed to arise from promising deals that included a reality show and a book project. Johnston stressed the book prospects had more feasible strength to have catalyzed Palin’s resignation.
Levi Johnstone is said to have lived with the Governor Palin’s family between early December last year and the end of second week in January, this year. His supposed marriage failed the litmus test for approval and was canceled early this year. Or did it enter into dormancy state only to be active later in the public life? The book compensation deals seemed to have re-ignited the candles of the relationship as Johnston indicated that the future of their relationship is on a better plate that it was before.
Even though the monetary value of the book has not yet been revealed, Johnston suggested the value of the book is a possible opportunity cost. A past comment by Governor Sarah Palin indicated she was facing over USD 500,000 in legal fees. Has she been able to jump over this handle? Johnston attorney, Rex Butler, suggested Johnston’s comments were meant to question Sarah Palin’s resignation as an Alaskan Voter.
Johnston who is in hot pursuit for his book deal and movie, while still servicing his carpentry career indicated he is not likely to vote Governor Sarah Palin for presidency citing Governor Sarah Palin is not ‘cut out for the job’. Johnstone indicated that vice presidency or presidency position is ‘huge’ and Sarah is not likely to meet its expectations. People grow and develop through their networks of friends. Could Governor Sarah Palin have crucified her political career? Could Levi Johnston have seen an opportunity to change his career by using a fall of a giant politician? Time will live to be a better witness.
