In this society, we are judged and accepted by our looks and if you don&#039;t fit the mold, no amount of drugs or psycobabble is going to change that fact. Accecpting who you are, even if it&#039;s not all that comfortable, is more fulfilling than conning yourself into thinking you could have been or should be something you&#039;re not.</description>

I think shyness is usually caused by a delicate nervous system, extra sensitivity to stimuli and feelings and an above average intelligence or creative ability.  I suppose lack of confidence and anxiety can be the end result but I don&#039;t believe it is the cause. It&#039;s too bad we don&#039;t find out what it is these kid&#039;s think and feel at a young age. I bet some incredible creativity could be fostered there.  We could learn so much starting at the beginning instead of the end.</description>
