With the fastest means of transport and travel, the world has now become small. One can hardly deny the significance of the means of communication in the changed situation. Newspaper is a powerful source of communication between the government and people of a country. If there were no newspapers, some unexpected consequences would follow.

The communication gap between the government and people would widen. A state of total blackout would emerge. People would become totally ignorant of what is happening around them. Society will lapse into the dark ages of medievalism.

Business transactions at national and international levels would come to a standstill. The information about day-to-day prices, share markets and the general economic trends, would not reach the common people and as such, gossips and rumors would run wild everywhere.
